WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? As far as eating… I’ve been eating a lot of Jerk influenced dishes and meats, due to the opportunity I have of hosting local pop-up dinners. From grilled steaks to seafood, and even BBQ. As far as drinking… I’ve been drinking sour brews and North East style hoppy brews.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? If I’m eating out, and not at work, I like Krog St. Market, Bon Ton, and spots off of Buford Highway. For drinking… I go to brewpubs like Wrecking Bar and Torched Hop. I love the cocktails at Bon Ton and at P&P. I like Leon’s Full Service, Brick StoreWhite Bull, and Kimball House if I’m in downtown Decatur.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? I’ve been really into old fashioneds and barrel aged sours lately.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? The Brick Store Pub in Decatur has an awesome cellared beer selection, and Ticonderoga at the Krog Street Market has really good cocktails. I like Sun in my Belly for brunch/lunch, and Muchacho is nice for coffee and smoked salmon toast while working on my laptop.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? As far as eating out, I’ve been sticking close to home with some cool from scratch restaurants. A former coworker, Buzz, his BBQ joint Loyal Q and Brew…  I’ve also been going to Noble Fin, it’s just down the street from me.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? What am I eating? From Loyal Q… I get the 2 meat platter with in house smoked sausage, and pulled chicken with 2 sides of mac & cheese, 1 of em being pimento mac and the other beans. At Noble Fin, I’ve had the lobster roll just to compare with ours lol. I’ve also tried the Atlantic salmon with the English pea risotto. Yo, so good! Home eating… I’m country. I’m from the ‘Sip. I’m always cooking neck bones whether they are beef, pork or Turkey. Ask Mussy, he knows! Fried catfish and crab legs. Drinking wise, I have been downing Angry Orchard apple ciders. Tiny and Tim introduced me to them at the company holiday party. I’m big on Seagrams daiquiri style cocktails as well.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? I’ve been eating all the tomatoes, and watermelon before they are gone for the season. Drinking cold brew and kombucha by day and Cynar and soda & sparkling gamay by night.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? Ticonderoga Club is my favorite for an amazing cobb salad and great cocktail or glass of wine after work. I also love The Local’s smoked wings and generous pours of whiskey. Wrecking Bar has a great seasonal menu in addition to their regular menu as well.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? I have been eating all things seafood: crab, shrimp, and salmon. I have been drinking Tequila and Riesling.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? I have been eating at The Juicy Crab, and drinking at Little Trouble.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? Being from the south and smaller areas, I never got the opportunity to experience some of the amazing ethnic foods that ATL has to offer. So, I’ve been trying to eat and drink at places that allow me to enjoy that experience. From South American cuisine to Asian cuisine, I’ve been trying it all.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? Well, to hit some of the spots that pertain to the previous question… Pijiu Belly in West Midtown (all the dumplings are insane, but the wasabi/pork shumai are the most insane), Taqueria la Duranguense in Smyrna for gorditas is absolutely amazing (pro tip: bring cash and someone who speaks Spanish), The El Salvadorian Bakery off Windy Hill for Popusas, Pho Dakao on cobb parkway for bahn mi (Lee’s Bakery, too!!), North China Eatery on Buford Highway are just a few. My go to places for all around, never failing meals are Chef Andre Gomez’s Porch Light Latin Kitchen, and Terry Koval’s Wrecking Bar Brew Pub. Can’t miss with those spots. I also recently had a great cocktail experience at Proof & Provision. Great bartenders and drinks (try the Irish Breakfast).

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? I have been eating a lot of Korean/Korean fusion foods lately. I’ve been drinking a lot of local sour beers. I’ve also been really into mezcal.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? My favorite restaurants right now are The Bowl and Bone Garden Cantina. I really love Orpheus brewery as well.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? Anvil IIPA from Ironmonger Brewing Co. is my go to beer.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? I spend a lot of time at Creatwood Tavern over on Windy Hill at Atlanta Rd. I go mostly for the beer. When I do eat; they’ve got a Salmon BLT sandwich that’s possibly the best I’ve had anywhere.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? I’m eating as much lobster as I can. My family and I don’t tend to eat it during other times of the year. It’s special in the summer. We also eat A LOT of watermelon. My daughter Jordan is a huge watermelon fan. Lately I’ve been sipping and mixing El Jimador Reposado. I’m always drinking IPAs. Sweetwater IPA is a favorite of mine, that and Creature Comforts Bibo pilsner are both perfect beers to crack open by the pool or the river on a hot summer day.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? I’ve been eating at Han Il Kwan Korean BBQ on Buford Highway. I brought my mom, my wife and the kids recently. My mom had never had Korean BBQ and she loved it! It’s fun, interactive, and an approachable entryway into Korean cuisine. The seafood pancake is a must try! Whole grilled mackerel with just a few slices of lemon on the side…wow! So good. I’ve been drinking by the pool.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? Hankook Taqeria has great Korean tacos and other Korean street food. They have these sesame fries and special ketchup that are addictive! They don’t have hooch there but Red Brick Brewery is right around the corner and they let you bring your own food! It’s a great combo for an easy night.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? Lately, I have been eating all things spicy. Peppers on everything. When I’m at home, I love to make a huge green salad with spicy pickled vegetables from my families garden, chickpeas, and ginger dressing. My husband and I love making Thai recipes from Kris Yenbamroong’s Night Market cookbook. We larb and pad thai on the regular. I’ve been drinking Tonic’s all summer. Rum & tonic, Madeira & tonic, cold brew & tonic… I can’t get enough. I’ve also been digging on Counter Culture coffee, French and Spanish ciders (when I can find them), and as always…. Fernet.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? I discovered the fried chicken at Gaja recently, so as you can imagine… I’ve been eating there a ton. A few favoite lunch spots of mine are Bell Street Burritos, El Myr, and Ali Baba’s. If I’m ever in Kirkwood, I love snacking at Poor Hendrix. I recently discovered an awesome taco stand up in Kennesaw of all places called Tacos Del Chavo, holy crap… so good. As far as drinking goes, I’m a creature of habit… Ticonderoga,  Kimball House, and Watchman’s forever. If I’m going to beer, I beer at The Porter. I love Brick Store, but it’s always so crowded.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? I’ve been eating basil chicken and drinking craft beer by the can.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? I’ve mostly been eating at Tasty China, and I’ve been doing my drinking by the pool.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? Because I am currently trying to train for my first half marathon, my diet is pretty restricted. That having been said, I’m eating lots of salads, eggs, cheese, meat, and pork rinds. Additionally, I try not to drink any calories, so it’s lots of tea, coffee, diet soft drinks, and water. When I do drink, my favorite cocktail is a Black Russian (especially a Peri’s Black Russian: served in a highball glass with vanilla vodka rather than plain, topped with Coke)

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? Paradise Grill is a neighborhood favorite near my home in East Cobb. WaHo is always a go to when eating high protein / low carb. I eat at home a good bit. I also brown bag it quite a lot.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? I really like the KFP that we have on the menu at M&T right now and I’m excited for the new Herradura tequila barrel to get here so I can try that. Our Tong Po featuring Richland Rum is also a cocktail I’ve been enjoying lately. I’ve been drinking a lot of sour beers, Three Taverns Rapturous among others.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? I’m mostly eating at Muss & Turner’s or the Costello Bistro – aka my house. I also like Yeero Village, they have great Greek food, relatively inexpensive.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN EATING/DRINKING LATELY? My go to spot is Lee’s Bakery on Buford Hwy. I always get banh mi sandwiches. I eat one there and order one to take home and I am obsessed with their veggie egg rolls. I pretty much drink bourbon on my porch most nights now that I’m a country mouse!
