Staplehouse Dining Room Opens Tonight!
I am overjoyed to announce that Staplehouse will FINALLY be officially opening their dining room to the public tonight. It is BYOB, but that could change at any moment, so be sure to call ahead if you head down there. I can’t wait for all of you who have been so supportive and following this project to see it. It is beautiful!
Staplehouse is led and managed by Jen Hidinger, Kara Hidinger and Ryan Smith is 100% owned by thegivingkitchen.org . It is the dream restaurant concept of Ryan & Jen Hidinger that they began pursuing in February of 2009 when they started their supper club called Prelude to Staplehouse.  It is Atlanta’s first ticketed restaurant, which means it is like buying a ticket to a ballgame or concert. 100% of all annual dividends flow into The Giving Kitchen, so this gives us a more fiscally prudent platform to plan, execute, and make profits as it raises awareness and grant funds for our fellow restaurant workers in need.
The dining room provides a tasting menu experience similar to what Ryan & Jen used to serve for ten people every Sunday in their home for years. Chef Smith and his incredible team will be changing the menu often with what they can procure and cook that is exciting them. For those of you who want to enjoy a true chef’s table experience, this is it. This won’t be the experience for those who want multiple choices or a picky eater. They will be willing to accommodate vegetarians, as well as dietary restrictions as best they can.
The covered and heated patio has an adjoining kitchen that will be serving an a la carte menu and will not be ticketed but instead on a first come, first served basis.
Go to staplehouse.com to learn more about operating hours, stay up to date and purchase tickets.

cc_full Beer Dinner @ M&T 11/5
You are the first to hear about this.  Muss and Dameren are tasting a bunch of their beers (new stuff) on Monday and will be writing the menu then. Their Tropicalia IPA is bar none the most talked about beer in the city. We’re only selling 24 seats, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this sell out just amongst ambassadors. It’s the first beer dinner we’ve done in a while!

$79.93 (inclusive of food, beer, tax, tip and ticket service charge)

Here is 411 on our Halloween Festivities before we send out to the world this afternoon.
  • Hidi’s Pumkin Patch starts this weekend.  Bring your kids to buy a pumpkin at M&T. All $ goes to The Giving Kitchen.
  • Halloween night:  Raising “EL” Costume Party in Eleanor’s with “the late Miss Eleanor” hosting.  Costume contest prizes start at $250.
  • 40th Anniversary Rocky Horror Picture Show dinner in the Grog Shop. The menu will be from the Vincent Price’s Classic Cookbook, “Treasury of Great Recipes.”

Mark your calendar for Team Hidi 4.0 on 1/31/16.If you have not been, I’ll be bold enough to say you NEED to attend. Imagine what happens when the restaurant industry throws a party to benefit itself? Everyone genuinely wants to be there, they all show up with bells on and they all bring their A-game. The food, drink and energy can’t possibly be matched by any foodie event you’ve ever been to.
