Ambassadors,

Hope you had a great start to the holidays. No reason to only express gratitude last week. I am very thankful for our M&T family which extends to our staff, our vendors and of course you.

Local Three is Five!
Congratulations and happy 5th birthday to Local Three last Tuesday! Can you believe it!?!? Thanks to all of you who’ve supported L3 over the years! It has become a very special place for many and we are so proud to become a part of the Buckhead community.

Your Feedback Heard
One of the tea leaves from your survey feedback was that you love that our menu changes, but it changes too often and before you can try items you are interested in. We agree and starting December we are going to change our dinner menu every two months and wine list every quarter. This is going to help us in consistency with food execution as well as help our staff become more educated on what we serve and better guide you through your dining experience.

Gastronomes
Dec / Jan Dinner Menu will be launched on Monday. One of the new items already on the menu that I’m really excited about is the Grilled South Carolina Swordfish with autumn lentils, roasted cauliflower, maitake, French horn, and beech mushrooms, San Marzano tomato and capers.

Duck Confit is back!  Sorry we took it away… Absence definitely made many hearts grow fonder, especially mine.

Winos
It’s been five years (when we opened L3) but I once again have full control of our wine list. I am super excited about the substantial changes I’ve already made and added some killer wines by the glass and some big boy/girl reds by the bottle. Please take a look at the bev menu design .

Here is list of 22 of the new wines with my notes for the staff.  Many more tasty treats to come!

Booze Hounds
The Brown Thrasher was introduced about a five weeks ago and it is one of the best selling cocktails we’ve ever had. Made by Erik Ellickson aka “Chops”, the silver bullet to this drink is the apple shrub he is making from scratch. Check out his recipe and feel free to make some for home. Ingredients: Bourbon, lemon, molasses, apple shrub, Averna amaro

Beer Geeks
Our draft line up will continue to change often. Our new GM Curt has his main man from Savannah Distributing on our account now so expect to start seeing some highly allocated beers on our list.  Like….starting today!

Stone 24 Carrot Golden Ale – This is the winner of the American Homebrewer’s Association annual competition.

Happy Chanukah…
on Monday to our Jewish friends. If you are looking for gift ideas, may I recommend the Dr. Dreidel. I am getting this for Muss and he is going to love it!

NYE
New Year’s Eve Menu looks amazing. Book a table before the good ones go.

New Smyrna Restaurant You Need To Check Out
If you’ve not been yet, please go check out Porch Light Latin Kitchen which opened a few weeks ago by my friends and fellow Smyrnites, Andre and Ashley Gomez.  Andre was Chef de Cuisine for Kevin Rathbun and I’m telling you the boy can cook and BBQ. I was one of their first guinea pigs and the food was OUTSTANDING!  Please check them out and spread the word.

Enjoy your weekend and hope to see you soon. Thank you for reading this far!
